Award presented by Graham Smith, Canon Europe

At the recently concluded SWPP Convention in London, I won the ‘UK Environmental Portrait Photographer 2007″. This is perhaps the largest Convention for photographers in Europe and over 8,500 photographers attended this mega event from all over the world. The winning shot (above) was of a model inside the pod at the London Eye and was shot on behalf of Nikon UK for their marketing campaign. This shoot was one of the most exciting and challenging shoots I’ve ever done and to win such an Award was all the more satisfying. To be recognised by your peers and fellow photographers is a great honour for me and I’ll cherish this Award for a long long time. The Awards evening was the culmination of the 5 day event and was presented by BBC’s Phillipa Foster.
